Well, myfivethings is up and running—and fully funded already! I was really happy realizing that with this project, my ability to fully produce the notebooks myself and at school I could have a super low goal which would let me make my funding goal very low.
Currently we are in day 3 of our Kickstarters for the EPD class, and the project is at 162%—so I’m definitely making the books, which is great. Now I’m focusing on outreach, so posts on instagram (mixing up posting my own and other peoples in the class). I’m also AB testing a little. I set up a new Instagram as class started and have been less selective with following people. I’m interested to see when I post content, which of them has the most traction—so that I can use that info in future campaigns.
On top of that I have continued outreach to binders and printers in the Chicagoland area, to look to see about the cost of having the books made by a company. The reason I’m doing this is because I wanted to take this project from Kickstarter, directly after it finishes, and put it straight onto Indiegogo to learn that platform.
At this point, I’m also beginning the development of my next project. I think that I already have an idea in mind of what I would like to do, so now I just have to start with the outreach and design work.
It’s going to be a busy couple of months.
