Thanksgiving! Welp, this is being written from Fort Lennoard Wood, where my partner and I travelled down to see her sister and family for thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring my green card or a passport, and as a non US citizen that’s not good. So now I’m sat in the welcome center/guard post, working and looking forward to a turkey doggy bag later in the day.
Now about the project. 279% funded ($977), with four days remaining (it ends at 4p on the 26th November). This week has seen me work a little on the packaging and try to think about how I can get it sent out into the world. I’ve also been able to get a few more of the boxes out in the world and so I’m super excited to start getting pictures/videos in the next week or so.
In terms of fulfillment, I’m going to get the survey sent out ASAP on Monday and hopefully that can get filled out as soon as possible. Then, I’m planning a marathon lasercutting/folding session—likely to be 3-5 hours—to get everything ready.
This week I’m focusing on some fundamentals of the experience with the box—instructions for putting them together, a logo, and the final design for CYOA. That along with other small parts of the project which need some work (building out a landing page/putting the page together for the next campaign/social media). I’m also going to take a little time to look into using Backer Kit for the survey for this project.
I also have started using pirate ship, and it’s awesome.
