Graphic Design | Industrial Design | New Media Arts | Ideation | Research | Arduino | Processing | Fabrication | Sketching | Rendering
Originally from England, I have been in Chicago since 2011, before which I spent a lot of time traveling around Europe and the United Kingdom. I am currently attending UIC School of Design, working to attain a double major in Graphic and Industrial Design, with a minor in New Media Arts, from the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts.
As a mature student studying both industrial and graphic design, I have built a solid knowledge of layout, typography, sketching, rendering, and design language, as well as product ideation, color theory, development and fabrication. My studies in New Media Arts have brought out of me an exploratory nature regarding the discovery and use of materials and production methods.
2016/17 finds me as the President of UIC IDSA, which I am pushing to explore the world of design outside of their usual comfort zone, bringing in speculative designers, artists, sociologists and futurists to open horizons. I currently work at UIC in the Innovation Center as a Innovation Intern working for Caterpillar, leading a team on researching innovative products and disruptive futures.
